Renovations

Sorry I haven't posted in a week!

Things got very crazy here at the house. We had a renovation scheduled and thought it would be an organized mess, but boy was I wrong! Everything happened a lot sooner than we had planned simply because we got the cabinets sooner than expected and the builder had a week between jobs that he could be here, so we jumped on it!

With all the dust flying and lack of space, I shut down my computer to protect things and haven't touched it in a week!   

All the stuff from our kitchen and bathroom in now located in the living room, and the stuff from our dining room is in my studio. There are ceiling tiles taken down in the studio (to get to pipes) and there is chaos and dust EVERYwhere!  So my "relaxed" renovation (is there really such a thing?) has become a house of destruction. Although, with that said, not only did it start quickly, the whole thing is happening quickly!  

Here we are at Day 8 since my husband pulled up the old wood floors, and we have a bigger bathroom and a HUGE kitchen and the finishing touches are getting done today! Ceilings, walls, floors, electrical, new cabinets, new paint colors, new lighting, refinishing floors, laying tiles and many things I never thought of – all done in 8 days! We are hoping the counter tops will be in next week. 

It's been quite the ride! 

My husband, brother-in-law Joel (Rustic Ridgelines, which I HIGHLY recommend) and nephew Cody have hustled all week to get things done – and done right I might add! This is better than I ever imagined! And, will be worth all the mess and dust!
